ChildrenofAtomicVeterans.org

Children of Atomic Veterans is an organization dedicated to supporting descendants of military personnel exposed to ionizing radiation during nuclear weapons testing and related activities. Recognizing the unique challenges posed by governmental secrecy and restricted records, the organization aims to bridge global gaps by providing access to pertinent information and resources. Their initiatives focus on understanding and addressing transgenerational genetic damage resulting from radiation exposure. Notable projects include the Tooth Fairy Project, which seeks to re-examine baby teeth collected during past studies to uncover new insights into radiation's genetic impacts, and the Gender & Radiation Impact Project, highlighting the heightened health risks faced by women in radiation-affected zones. Through these efforts, Children of Atomic Veterans strives to improve health outcomes for affected families and raise awareness about the enduring consequences of nuclear testing.
